Devolver Digital has announced a new run and gun Satan blasting precision platformer Shotgun Cop Man.
The ingenious outfit behind the ridiculous My Friend Pedro has upped the ante. Banana totting gangsters are so 2021. Now we’re after Satan. The new precision run and gun platformer Shotgun Cop Man is coming to PC and Nintendo Switch, but there’s already a demo available. Dropping a teaser as part of Steam Next Fest, players can descend into hell itself to blow away demons, avoid spikey failure, and shoot up Satan’s own truf in a ballistic battle for the ages.
Not quite like other demon instead shooter, this escapade is full of a particular level of silliness. New recruits will fire through a series of 2D levels where your weapons re your wings. Shotgun Cop Man’s boomstick and pistol (and other devastating weapons procured on-site) aren’t just used for slaying demons but traversing the depths of Hell as well. Think Super Meat Boy with a bit more explosive movement. You’ll be able to jump, launch and propel yourself through each level. Of course, there is also the big boss to take down.
