11 Bit Studios has announced a new ecological expedition called Creatures of Ava.
Set atop a rolling hill, the new trailer for 11 Bit Studios is a laid-back announcement, and a very different change of pace from The Thaumaturge, for the Polish publisher’s latest. Developed by Spanish studios Inverge and Chibig this new creature saving adventure will launch later this year and asks players to save the world one creature at a time. If you’re interested in cute critters, sweeping vistas, and a wonderfully audioscape then you’ll be able to grab this upcoming release across Xbox Series X|S and Windows 11 PC, and also with Xbox Game Pass for console and PC Game Pass.
An announcement trailer provides some insight into the upcoming conservation campaign, giving us a look at protagonist Vic, as they navigate an immersive open world alongside researcher, Tabitha. In this land, a recurring infection threatens the local inhabitants. Called “the withering” by locals, this problem compels regularly peaceful wildlife to become aggressive. Once healed, they form a unique bond that allows you to use their skills for traversing the planet and solving environmental challenges.
Creatures of Ava isn’t all chasing quadrupeds. The unique wildlife, gorgeous visuals and non-aggressive combat mechanics focus on harmony. Vic heals rather than defeats sick animals, while indigenous Flute melodies can tame the unique critters. This is an undeniably beautiful world and a welcome change to the usual explosion first gaming experience.
