Developer Lavapotion shared a new Steam post to talk about the Random Map Generator in turn-based strategy Songs of Conquest. Those who have followed the game since the beginning have witnessed the evolution of the random maps. The RMS had been going through a continuous process of innovation and iteration. While it is not the primary focus moving forward, the team is still dedicated to the ongoing improvement.
“Our goal was to create a system capable of generating maps with balanced resources, varied terrains, and engaging layouts, while also ensuring accessibility for modders. Though there’s always room for improvement, we are proud of what we’ve achieved so far.”
For those with further ideas on how to further improve the Random Map Generator, the developers welcome ideas and feedback in their Discord channel. Even as the game moves past Version 1.0,the team will remain committed to ensuring that the RMG remains a cornerstone of the gameplay experience.
