Developer Lavapotion tirelessly expands the content of turn-based strategy Songs of Conquest. The team just released a new update that ought to test the players’ mettle with the five brand-new Challenge Maps. The update, aptly titled “Challenge Accepted”, also contains bug fixes, map editor additions, and a handful of other tweaks.
Challenge Map is a specially designed map crafted to test your skills, often with a unique goal in mind. Can you beat our AI’s record of 50 turns to complete Three Roads?
The update also introduced changes to Arleon, the game’s first campaign. Every mission has seen updates, from fresh visuals to the new story elements and difficulty tweaks. The team also dedicated a substantial amount of time to squishing the most persistent bugs.

Songs of Conquest also received hotfix 0.92.8:
- Fixed exception when loading online game saves
- Fixed a source of objects blocking paths in random map generation
- Fixed exception from explosive barrels being detonated by extra Flame/Sweep attacks and destroying the initial attack target
- Fixed issue with wielders under the fog causing a NullReferenceException
