Soundfall Shows Off A New Gameplay Trailer

Noodlecake and Drastic Games dropped a new trailer for their upcoming rhythm based dungeon crawler, Soundfall.

If you’re eager to beat the game, in the musical sense, then the new gameplay trailer for Soundfall might be of interest. Unveiled today as part of Gamescom’s Opening Night Live, the new gameplay trailer for this indie hack and slash mixes some gorgeous animation, plenty of action, and a beat that aims to keep us all tapping attack. It gives us a glimpse of protagonist Melody and other Guardians of Harmony. This musical guru is magically transported to the world of Symphonia, where corrupt Timbrelands come crawling with Discordians. In order to restore balance, players are expected to wield powerful abilities to the beat of this tale.

There’s plenty to like about Soundfall, which seems to have plenty in common with beat battlers like Cadence of Hyrule or Crypt of the Necrodancer. While in Symphonia players can expect a world where everything is driven by their musical choices. Playing as one of five characters, Melody, Jaxon, Lydia, Brite, or Ky adventurers will wield a range of weapons and explore this world. Alongside the top-down dungeons, there’s a central story mode, a free play option, and cooperative elements. Whether it’s online or local, players picking up Soundfall will be able to band together and restore balance to the world.

This isn’t the first we’ve heard of Soundfall. The title first appeared on our radar back in 2018, when we got a bit ahead of ourselves and predicted a 2019 release. Since then, it’s been the subject of a hugely successful Fig campaign, raising over $200,00 to develop. With this new gameplay trailer, we can expect Soundfall to be set on a 2022 release for PC and console. Find out more on the Soundfall (soundfallgame.com)
