Outright Games has announced The Patrick Star Game, a single-player sandbox game set in the iconic world of SpongeBob Squarepants, is now available. Players take on the role of the zany Patrick in his first-ever adventure. The game is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
Developers always proudly showcase the gameplay and graphics of any new title. Outright has released an all-new launch trailer that showcases just how fun this game truly is and spotlights the original voice cast that’s made a comeback for the game.
About the Patrick Game
Patrick will take on jobs from iconic characters, including SpongeBob, Mr. Krabs, Sandy Cheeks, and Plankton. Along the way, he’ll use any object he finds to alter the world with “physics-defying hilarity.” He’ll explore in and around Bikini Bottom, head to Glove World, The Dump, and Demolition Derby, and more. Players will experience quests such as constructing a Krabby Patty, playing on the see-saw, and causing chaos in Mrs. Puff’s rage room. According to devs, players “will have endless possibilities for adventure.”
Of course, no game is worth its salt without cosmetics and this one is no exception. As players complete tasks, they’ll collect mayonnaise jars to unlock new outfits. Wily observers will also find a number of Easter Eggs from the series, and players will be happy to hear that many of the original voice cast, including Bill Fagerbakke as Patrick, return to their roles in the game.
Stephanie Malham, Managing Director of Outright Games, said: “It has been an absolute pleasure to work once again with Nickelodeon/Paramount Consumer Products. We are incredibly thankful to be expanding our ongoing relationship in adapting iconic IPs into family-friendly video games. It is an honor to work on an iconic and beloved franchise like ‘SpongeBob SquarePants.’ With ‘The Patrick Star Game’, we have created an interactive playground for fans to create their own adventures in Bikini Bottom while honoring the show’s zany humor and lovable characters.”
