One of the biggest questions surrounding any music game isn’t how the instruments feel, it’s whether the soundtrack can keep players coming back. Stage Tour continues to answer that question one reveal at a time, with its latest batch of confirmed songs spanning nearly four decades of alternative rock. The newest setlist reveal introduces three tracks linked by a single word in their titles: “Just Like Heaven” by The Cure, “Just” by Radiohead, and “Just Pretend” by Bad Omens. While the naming theme is playful, the additions further reinforce Stage Tour’s goal of building a soundtrack that isn’t confined to a single era or genre.
The Cure’s “Just Like Heaven” remains one of the defining alternative rock songs of the late 1980s and should be an instant favorite for players who grew up on classic radio staples. Radiohead’s “Just” brings one of the band’s most recognizable guitar-driven tracks to the lineup, while Bad Omens represents the modern side of heavy music with the breakout hit “Just Pretend.”
With these additions, Stage Tour’s confirmed soundtrack now stands at 22 songs. The current lineup already covers an impressive range of styles, including metal from Slipknot, Ghost, Mastodon, and BABYMETAL, pop punk from Avril Lavigne and Paramore, alternative rock from Weezer and Red Hot Chili Peppers, and newer acts like Honey Revenge, Good Kid, and Beast In Black.
Rather than relying solely on classic rock staples, the developers appear to be aiming for a playlist that reflects today’s rock landscape alongside genre-defining favorites. That approach could help Stage Tour appeal to longtime rhythm game veterans while also introducing newer players to artists they may have missed. With only 22 songs officially announced so far, there’s still plenty of room for surprises before launch. The developers have already confirmed that additional reveals are on the way, with Setlist Reveal #7 scheduled for August 12.
Players interested in following future song announcements can sign up through the official Stage Tour website and wishlist the game on Steam.
