The wait for the next big rhythm game revival is almost over. RedOctane Games has announced that Stage Tour will launch on December 10, 2026, bringing a new generation of plastic guitars, drums, microphones and living-room chaos to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. The announcement came during Opening Night Live at gamescom, where the studio debuted a new trailer featuring Mötley Crüe’s “Kickstart My Heart.” Players attending gamescom can also get hands-on with Stage Tour at the event’s custom arcade machines, while RedOctane says the game will visit additional events ahead of launch.
Built by veterans of the original rhythm game era, Stage Tour is aiming for the familiar-but-fresh approach. The game will feature more than 90 songs spanning six decades, with confirmed artists including The Rolling Stones, Metallica, Radiohead, The Cure, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mötley Crüe, Paramore and Olivia Rodrigo.
RedOctane has now revealed 45 of its 90+ tracks. The full lineup includes everything from Avril Lavigne’s “Bite Me” and BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy’s “RATATATA” to Metallica’s “Lux Æterna,” Megadeth’s “Tornado of Souls,” Muse’s “Starlight” and Smash Mouth’s “All Star.”
Stage Tour gear will include guitars, drums, and microphones. The game will also support standard gamepads and keyboard and mouse. The latter inputs even receive their own custom note charts rather than simply mimicking guitar gameplay. Thanks to its partnership with Gibson, Stage Tour will feature more than 180 authentic guitars from Gibson, Epiphone and Kramer for players to unlock alongside more than 50 bandmates, each with different styles and skins.
Tour Mode is the game’s biggest new addition to the genre, offering a roguelite-inspired single-player campaign where players choose their route, recruit bandmates and hit the road, with each tour playing out differently. Other, more traditional modes include up to four player Quickplay and Judgements modes, while cross-platform online co-op expands the party beyond the couch.
The digital game will cost $39.99, while the Kramer Guitar & Game Bundle starts at $129.99. A Band Kit + Game Bundle is also available for $299.99. Stage Tour launches December 10, 2026. Hardware and bundle pre-orders are available now, while digital pre-orders will open closer to launch.
