Publisher Tilting Point is celebrating a major milestone for Star Trek Timelines, as the long-running mobile RPG officially enters its 10th year. To mark the occasion, the studio is rolling out one of the largest updates in the game’s history, combining a new Borg mega-event, major gameplay additions, exclusive crew, and community-focused tributes throughout January.
The centerpiece of the anniversary celebration is Assimilation Day, a month-long mega-event inspired by the Star Trek: Picard Season 3 finale. The storyline centers on the Borg’s attempt to overtake Convergence Day, tasking players with assembling their best crews to defend the timeline. It is a fitting theme for a decade-spanning game built around Star Trek’s greatest existential threats and moral dilemmas.
Assimilation Day brings with it a substantial lineup of Borg-themed rewards. Players can earn new crew, including Prisoner Picard, Assimilated Georgiou, Assimilated Sato, and Marooned Gorn. The event also features an Objective Event giveaway crew in the form of C.O.P. Kirk, alongside the First Year of Convergence Collection. That collection pulls from the game’s early days, reintroducing classic 2016 crew and an exclusive launch-style version of Guinan designed to tap into a sense of nostalgia for longtime captains.
Beyond the event itself, the 10th anniversary update adds several major systems to Star Trek Timelines. The most notable is the Fleet Boss Battle: Borg Cube, a new high-stakes cooperative encounter that introduces fresh mechanics, a Captain’s Bridge environment, and unique rewards tied to fleet coordination. New crew members are also joining the roster, including Determined Worf, Critical Strike Picard, and Impish Riker, expanding the game’s already deep character pool.
Progression and collection systems are getting attention as well. A new Seasonal Shop allows players to earn tokens through Voyages and the Gauntlet, which can then be exchanged for rotating seasonal rewards. Collection Packs aim to streamline the collecting experience, offering a more tailored system designed to support both new players and completion-focused veterans.
The anniversary celebration extends beyond the game client as well. Longtime fans can unlock a new Maria Picasso i Piquer avatar, honoring the original artist behind Star Trek Timelines’ early visual identity. That tribute is paired with a time-lapse art showcase and Q&A reflecting on the game’s artistic evolution. Tilting Point is also rolling out new “10 Years” ASO branding, including an updated icon and refreshed storefront assets across the App Store and Google Play.
After a decade of updates, crossovers, and timeline chaos, Star Trek Timelines’ 10th anniversary feels less like a victory lap and more like a statement of intent. The game is still evolving, and if this update is any indication, Tilting Point plans to keep captains busy for years to come.
