Developer Epictellers Entertainment kicked off the closed beta public playtest for turn-based cRPG Starfinder: Afterlight. In order to celebrate the occasion, the team also shared the latest beta gameplay trailer for your viewing pleasure.
The trailer focuses on showing off the early beta, featuring turn-based combat, exploration, and companion-driven storytelling set in the Starfinder universe. There are also plenty of character barks, a quick look at rolling the dice, and some comic-like strips that spice up the game.
The newest beta is adding the Human Soldier as the latest pre-generated character option. New weapon Roto Laser is added to the available equipment, characters got their barks for dying, death, and recovery. Additionally, Weapons have their own widget, and are no longer available in the hotbar while the 0-9 can be used to activate skills from the hotbar and Control 1-4 to select between the characters.
