The developers from the Cyanide Studio and publisher Nacon has shared a brand-new gameplay trailer for the Styx: Blades of Greed. Marking the beginning of the new year, the ten minutes long video demonstrates first cutscenes, game features and locations. Well, ten minutes of Styx showing off and being amazing. This masterclass from the real professional gives players a chance to make notes and prepare for work in shadows.
The gameplay trailer opens with a briefing cutscene that introduces the main cast. Styx: Blades of Greed demonstrates a clear step forward from its predecessors, showcasing more detailed characters and refined facial animations. As the video cuts to the action, the gameplay appears just as dynamic as before but introduces new additions to the familiar mechanics. A key new tool is the promised grapple, which allows Styx to swiftly cross gaps or reach higher ground. Along with the glider, this mechanism expands the exploration possibilities, giving the player more freedom. However, this is not the only new feature. The navigation has also been enhanced with a compass that points toward the objective.
With the new additions, Styx: Blades of Greed still doesn’t move too far from the previous games. The familiar core gameplay remained the same, bringing back the key skills of the naughty goblin. Styx hides in shadows and closets, while waiting for the poison to kick in. He sneaks in forbidden areas and kills the guards, who had few days left til retirement. And more importantly, the sarcastic lines and comments are still there. Styx comment on the situation and even offers the solutions, as the part of the tutorial embedded into gameplay.
Styx: Blades of Greed will be available PlayStation 5, PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S. The dangerous fantasy adventure full of dark humor and greed starts on 19 February 2026.
