Cyanide Studio has released a playable Demo for the stealth action Styx: Blades of Greed. The players get access to the first missions of the game, experiencing the first hour of gameplay. Players can get a taste of Styx‘s skills, sneaking through shadows and stealing anything left unattended. The demo version includes two locations to explore. The first of them is a massive golem Styx infiltrates to destroy from within, while the second introduces one of the open environments, The Wall. But this demo version of the game doesn’t include the new grappler and glider gameplay, as the developers refuse to spoil it before the release version.
However, keep in mind this is a limited-time offer. The developers have stated that the demo version will only be available for a short period. So, grab your chance to experience the gameplay, narrative, and meet the naughty goblin if you never did before. And there is some good news too. The saves from the demo version will be fully compatible with the base game. If you fall in love with the taste of danger, free loot, and dark humor, your progress won’t be lost.
The full release will expand the adventure significantly, offering:
- Three Major Open Environments: Large new areas, including the orc-infested Turquoise Dawn and the corrupted Ruins of Akenash, alongside unexplored sections of The Wall.
- Enhanced Mobility: New traversal tools like the grappling hook and glider to access previously unreachable routes.
- Expanded Upgrades and Powers: Expanded tools and new Quartz powers, such as mind control and time shifting.
- New Enemy Factions: Strategic challenges from distinct factions like Inquisitors, Orcs, and Elves, each with unique gameplay behaviors.
- Creative Infiltration: Complete freedom to approach stealth challenges, solved with Styx’s trademark creativity and cunning.
Styx: Blades of Greed comes to PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on 19 February 2026. Meanwhile, the game is available for pre-purchase.
