Nacon and Cyanide Studio presented a new gameplay trailer for Styx: Blades of Greed. The trailer reveals the new skill and abilities of the green, cocky goblin, who aims to ruin everyone’s day. The third time brings new challenges to the table, but also grants Styx new powers to pursue hi personal goals. This time, he works only for himself and leads a team of outlaws in the world standing on the edge of war. The precious and powerful Quartz will belong to Styx, or he is not master of shadows.
Styx: Blades of Greed brings the experience of the two previous games to the new levels, where freedom and creativity matter the most. The familiar skills like cloning and invisibility return, but the Quarts grants Styx new abilities. Mind control by a cunning goblin must be a terrible experience, but the inquisitors brought it upon themselves. However, it’s not the scariest power of Styx possession—now he can shift time itself to kill and steal more efficiently. With all the tools, gadgets and enormous new skills given to the greedy mind, Styx could become the ultimate thief. But wait, he is already an embodiment of the greed and menace.
The game promises to give the players three vast open environments. First is the Wall, standing on the edge of the human world. Second, the orc village of Turquoise Dawn. And finally, the Ruins of the elven capital — Akenash. To move through the new zones, Styx gets a sky glider, the grapple and the claws to climb the walls. The stealth experience is expanded to the vertical line, giving the players more freedom in reaching their targets. Every new tool unlocks previously unreachable areas with Metroidvania-style progression.
Styx: Blades of Greed comes to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series this autumn.
