Developer ACE Entertainment is back with more details about updates coming to Tales of Seikyu at a later point. The team went over planned optimizations, character customization, and more. Check out the roadmap to see the long-term additions currently in the oven!
Seikyu — an island haven hidden far from the human world — is a sanctuary full of Yokai residents who can freely express themselves in human form. Settle down in your homeland, help expand the town, and uncover the secrets of this island and your long-lost family. Using your Fox Clan heritage, shapeshift into magical Yokai forms to take care of your homestead and explore the world! Soar freely in the skies of Seikyu as the Crow Tengu, dive deep for sunken treasure as a slime, or till the ground of your farm as a boar.
The game is currently available in Early Access and is the focus of ongoing development:
- Optimization. One of the big areas that developers are working on is custom occlusion culling, and this should go a long way in terms of overall improvement.
- Character Customization. Currently working on options to customize the hair, skin, and eye color of your character via a color wheel, slated for first major content update
- Fleshing out the world. That includes new characters walking around the island, an exciting new area with more animals, adding additional interactions to animals, and more.
- Updates to character rooms.
- Updates to Kon’s pathing.
- Villager Dialogue & Behaviour enhancement. There will be ore useful character dialogue, including tips and information about what’s going on in Seikyu.
- Storage Adjustments. Making a Take All / Deposit All more user-friendly.
- Controller Support fixes.
- Fishing bug fixes.
- And more!
