Talking Tom developer Outfit7 has announced that Talking Tom Gold Rush and My Talking Agnela 2 are getting new in game events today as the cats join Green Game Jam 2023.
Outfit7 has just announced that it’s cute kitties are due to join in the festivities of Green Game Jam 2023. The environmentally focused adventure adds the team behind Talking Tome Gold Rush and My Talking Angela 2 to a range of studios from across the globe in an effort to help save green space and educate. To celebrate the game jam and help promote the ideals that will focus young minds on three wild ecosystems, both the aforementioned titles are getting new in game events.
Talking Tom Gold Rush, will get of the blocks with a “Grow & Go” event. Speeding through a variety of timelines, players will be able to collect special water droplets to nurture their very own in-game tree. The more you play, the more droplets Tom can use to nurture the in-game tree. As it develops, endangered animals from the Amazon appear, and players are rewarded for their conservation efforts with in-game treats. My Talking Angela 2 players will get their green fingers on Talking Angela’s brand-new Balcony. Angela can grow flowers, aiming to attract and take care of bees, that are essential to pollinating the plants in the Amazon. Players can even get a healthy start by using the promo code “BEE” in My Talking Angela 2 for 2,000 extra coins, and “TREE” in Talking Tom Gold Run for 300 extra water tokens.
Environmentally focused outreach events are not uncommon in the gaming industry, but this set of in game updates is particularly well placed to engage with young minds in a way that doesn’t lecture. It’s also encouraging to see Outfit7 donating $60,000 to Re:wild in support of harlequin toad conservation. Re:wild is a non-profit organization that protects and restores the wild. They work closely with the Atelopus Survival Initiative, which is dedicated to protecting harlequin toads, one of the most threatened groups of amphibians in the world, including in the Amazon Rainforest. Both events will be available from June 1 to June 12, 2023, then every weekend until the end of June.
