Teamfight Tactics, the small-scale League brawler, is revamping the rules with the new Runeterra Reforged.
Riot game’s other tactical PvP arena is going to look just a little fancier soon. News dropped last night that we can expect that the latest update to Teamfight Tactics will go live across PC, iOS, and Android on 14 June, and it might not be quite what you expect. Riot announced the news that players will find themselves revisiting the world of Runeterra through a new lens.
Plans afoot to shake the very foundation of this strategic title should give us all some more options on how to play. Riot’s latest is centred around giving players more choice. A new pre-draft phase is due to allow us to pick a playstyle via the Legends system. This new system doesn’t change the option to change strategy as a game unfolds but is intended to help everyone lean into their own strengths from the off. The next major change is the opportunity to choose a battleground. With tons of places in the Riot universe, form the depths of Zaun to the fringes of Runeterra. Soon, Runeterra Reforged will give everybody a chance to influence where they’re going next by allowing them to vote on a specific Region to Portal to at the start of the game. Of course, each region brings its own mechanics and influence to a fight, so choose wisely.
This game changing update will likely have even more new features, but to experience everything, head over to the Public Beta Environment starting on May 31, with a full release coming shortly afterward on June 14th. That’s just enough time to check out the utterly phenomenal Convergence: A League of Legends Story and help Ekko, before heading back into Runeterra.
