Techrot Encore lands in Warrframe today, bringing new content and a glam rock Warframe to the fight.
Turn it up, because the carnage isn’t over yet. While Warframe’s 1999 update was an epic expansion to an already incredible online adventure, the new Techrot Encore keeps up the action in a bunch of new ways. Most importantly, with METAL! The latest update to this sci-fi battle for Sol, introduces a fresh cast of characters that survived the Techrot epidemic, the 60th Warframe, new missions, and a chance to take down pop with the Technocyte Coda’s Infested boy band boss battles.
The Technocyte Coda
Things didn’t entirely go so well for the hit boyband On-Lyne. A set of familiar-looking, but utterly wrong, boss battles are available via an inconspicuous, virus-infested file. Download it to access Warframe’s new Adversary System, take on some powerful boss battles, and press replay to begin working on a whopping 13 new Coda weapons.
Temple – Warfame 60
The latest glam rock Warframe is finally here, and Temple is certainly unique. Once the lead singer in a band that met a gruesome fate, Temple is a powerful guitar-wielding warrior bent on revenge. Use incredible pyrotechnics, powerful overdrive mechanics, and a lot of heat to tear apart enemies and help heal allies. Temple is the first Warframe that we can think of that gets its own actively aware weapon, so try to play nice with the new guitar. With a splendid rock look and attitude to boot, you can check out more on Temple in recent previews.
New Protoframes and more
Head to the bar in the mall to encounter a lot of new characters, each with their own reason for coming to Höllvania and ready to send you hurtling into a series of new mission types, mini-games, and the challenging Temporal Archimedea. Of course, there is new loot available, and stickers! As if things weren’t loud enough already, an original track lands in Warframe today too. Listen to “Lamenting the Days,” in the new Stage Defense mission. This collaboration with Jake Bowen and Mark Holcomb from metal band Periphery features vocalist Elliot Coleman from the rock group Good Tiger, and probably tips this over the edge as the most metal Warframe update ever.
