Developer Free Lives and publisher Devolver Digital invite players to reclaim the wilderness in reverse city-builder Terra Nil. The game is coming to PC & Netflix on March 28th and is currently available for pre-order. Free Lives will donate a portion of their profits from Terra Nil on Steam to the Endangered Wildlife Trust. Visit https://ewt.org.za/ for more information.
In the game, players get a chance to restore environment and biodiversity to barren, lifeless landscapes. Turn dead soil into fertile grassland, clean polluted oceans, plant sprawling forests, and create the ideal habitat for animals to call home. Then recycle your buildings and leave no trace that you were there. Breathe new life into the world’s climate, with unique weather patterns for different regions and a beautiful and meditative reactive soundtrack and audio palette.
“We can’t wait to share Terra Nil with all of you. Whether you were there for early prototypes on itch or if you’re hearing about the game for the first time, thank you for being a part of this journey.
After all of this work, being able to contribute to the Endangered Wildlife Trust feels Terra Nil has reached its original purpose – helping put the environment in the spotlight, both in-game and in the real world.”
