The Division 2: Survivors Comes Next Year

Ubisoft officially announced The Division 2: Survivors. The expansion for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 promises to elevate the survival extraction experience to new levels in 2026.

Development on The Division 2: Survivors is currently in its early stages at Red Storm Entertainment. The project is led by The Division veteran Magnus Janses, who has been with the franchise since its inception. Additionally, Julian Gerighty, former Creative Director of Star Wars Outlaws, returns to the franchise as its Executive Producer

“The Division 2: Survivors is as much your baby as it is ours, and we strive for transparency during its development. Clear communication and community involvement are a focus as we build the new experience, and we will be closely involving you as we move forward on the development journey.” – Julian Gerighty.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is a third-person survival shooter originally released in 2019. Since then, the game has received numerous DLCs and expansions, though not all were equally successful. Last year, the free-to-play multiplayer title The Division Heartland was cancelled. While certainly not an easy decision, this move was likely made with the franchise’s best interests in mind. Now, the future of The Division series rests on the upcoming Survivors expansion and Resurgence.

The Division 2 available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), Xbox and PlayStation.
