The Expanse: Osiris Reborn Environmental Showcase

Owlcat Games released a new trailer for their first sci-fi action RPG, The Expanse: Osiris Reborn. Although the studio announced the game just several months ago, they have already prepared an entire environmental showcase to share with players. The trailer looks more like a teaser, but it’s enough to imagine the size of the game and the aesthetics.

The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is based on the book series and the TV show The Expanse. The game unfolds during the same timeline as the first two books and the first two seasons of the show. The players take a role of the Pinkwater Security mercenary, who stuck on the Eros colony. The station is infected. Someone must take the lead, gather a new crew, and escape this nightmare. From here starts the unforgettable journey across the Solar system.

The players will be given freedom in character creating, including gender selection, appearance setting and three origins to chose from. While the main character can be from Earth, Mars or the Asteroid belt, the journey leads beyond these locations. So far we can expect to visit The Moon, Ganymede and Ceres, but maybe can join this pool later. The game strongly reminds of Mass Effect trilogy in both aesthetics and vibes, but the developers never tried to hide that the legendary series was one of their main inspirations.

There is no release date yet, but The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is confirmed for PC (Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
