Antediluvian Interactive has released a playable Demo for the co-op dungeon crawler The Expedition: Into Darkness. The announcement came along with the brand-new trailer, featuring gameplay elements and demonstrating the dark fantasy world. The game blends together the tension of extraction looting with RPG elements. Meanwhile, the game remains in active development with planned release date set on Q4 2026.
Demo Overview
- Two large maps: Playable solo or with up to three other players.

- Quest system: NPCs around the camp offer tasks that add variety and reward.
The gameplay loop centers on crawling into dangerous ruins and extracting valuable loot. However, dangerous creatures hide in the ruins, and each encounter can become the last one. The demo includes all major mechanics intended for the final release, offering a full preview rather than a limited vertical slice.
