The God Slayer — Open World RPG Announced

Pathea Games studio has announced their new ambitious project, The God Slayer. Previously, the developers released popular simulator games My Time at Portia and My Time at Sandrock. However, the new project is an open world action RPG in the setting inspired by Eastern culture. The game is announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

The God Slayer tells a story of the world created by Celestials, who designed every creature and cultivated the qi energy. As the creatures die, their qi energy is passed to Celestial realm, empowering its creators. However, some humans learned how to use this energy and transform it into elements, usurping the divine power. Yet, this endeavor didn’t stay unnoticed. Celestial wrath fell on these fools, and the Zhou Kingdom was the first one to face it.

The players take a role of Cheng, whose family was slain by the Celestials forces. On this quest for justice and vengeance, he has to master the power of elements and gather the allies. However, one single mistake can lead to downfall.

Key Game Features

  • Dynamic Elemental Combat: A system of five elements (Fire, Water, Earth, Metal, Wood). Each can be combined or counter another in strategic, real-time battles.
  • Character Progression: Harness and refine your qi, learn new skills from ancient scrolls and masters, and unlock powerful abilities to challenge the gods.
  • A Steampunk Metropolis: The capital of Zhou, a city of stark contrasts—where gleaming steam technology and airships soar above soot-blackened factories and oppressed neighborhoods.
  • Faction Intrigue & Alliance: A complex web of factions, including the rebel Star Fall Society.
  • Fight for Ideals: A rebellion against the tyrannical Celestials, beings once worshiped as creators but now revealed as oppressors harvesting human energy for immortality.
