Indie developer Joe Richardson and Akupara Games have announced a release date for The Immortal John Triptych. The collection combines three award-winning Renaissance adventure games: Four Last Things, The Procession to Calvary, and Death of the Reprobate. It is set to reach Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on August 27. As for PC players, they will be able to purchase the Immortal John Triptych: Weird Extra Content Art Gallery as DLC on Steam.
The game series offers a Pythonesque adventure set in a world pieced together from Renaissance paintings. Players jaunt across the English countryside committing sin, sacrilege, and savagery. The game offers bizarre visuals such as dancing babies, drugged-up metrognomes, and God getting excited about the apocalypse.
