Indie studio Kumi Souls Games has released a DLC for the gothic metroidvania The Last Faith. Coming under the title Awakened Ancients, the expansion brings new content into the main game, including several new modes and game experience improvements. The developers kept their promise and the DLC is completely free. This gift is a sign of gratitude to the community for their faithful support.
The Last Faith: Awakened Ancients comes to all platforms except Nintendo. However, the expansion will come there too as soon as the developers solve the occurring problems.
The DLC introduces the following content:
- New Game+ mode.
- Boss Rush mode: Completing it unlocks an additional skin for the protagonist.
- “Dungeon” mode: Players control one of three new characters and experience unique weapons, bosses, enemies, NPCs, and items. Completion also rewards a new skin.
- “Tower of Despair” mode: A survival-focused mode where players battle waves of enemies from every act of the game.
- New adversaries: 7 new enemy types.
- New bosses: 5 new boss encounters.
- New finishing move animations.
The Last Faith is a dark gothic metroidvania, featuring soulslike elements. The players take the role of Eryk, who got awakened after decades of slumber only to discover his own past. The game offers bloody battles, arsenal of diverse weapons and atmosphere of the dark world drowning in gore and violence.
The Last Faith is available on (Steam), PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
