Most gaming PCs are built to hide cable management behind a side panel. MAINGEAR’s new Zero takes that idea to its logical conclusion – it removes the wiring completely, leaving the hardware as the true centerpiece of the build. The boutique PC builder has unveiled its latest compact desktop, combining high-end gaming components with a panoramic glass chassis and a unique feature aimed squarely at collectors.
At first glance, the MAINGEAR Zero’s biggest selling point is its design. A single curved sheet of 4mm tempered glass wraps around the front and side of the chassis, providing an unobstructed view of the system’s internals. That clean look is made possible by MAINGEAR‘s patented MG-RC (Rear Connection) motherboard design, which routes power and data connections behind the motherboard, eliminating the usual bundle of cables that often dominates showcase builds.
The result is a system that places the graphics card, liquid cooler, memory, and fans front and center without visible wiring getting in the way. Even the RGB lighting has been designed to appear softer and more refined through fully diffused lighting elements rather than exposed LEDs.

The MAINGEAR Zero Launch Edition adds another twist by turning the PC itself into a display case. It ships with interchangeable display stands that mount inside the chassis, allowing owners to showcase gaming figures, brick-built creations, or other collectibles alongside the hardware. The included TRYX Panorama SE liquid cooler also features a curved OLED display that can be customized with animations, videos, or gameplay footage.
Performance isn’t taking a back seat to aesthetics, either. Buyers can configure the Zero with AMD’s Ryzen 7 9850X3D or Intel’s Core Ultra 7 270K Plus processors, paired with graphics cards ranging from the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 all the way up to the flagship RTX 5090.
Pre-configured models include:
- Emerald: Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus, GeForce RTX 5070, starting at $2,799
- Platinum: Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 5070, starting at $2,999
- Sapphire: Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, GeForce RTX 5080, starting at $3,799
- Elite: Ryzen 7 9850X3D, GeForce RTX 5080, starting at $4,099
- Amethyst: Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, GeForce RTX 5090, starting at $6,199
- Champion: Ryzen 7 9850X3D, GeForce RTX 5090, starting at $6,499
Customers can also configure their own systems through MAINGEAR’s online builder, choosing the exact combination of hardware that fits their needs.
For enthusiasts who enjoy displaying their PCs as much as playing on them, the MAINGEAR Zero offers a fresh take on the modern showcase build. Instead of simply exposing premium hardware through tempered glass, MAINGEAR is betting that gamers will want to show off their favorite collectibles as well. Whether that means a prized action figure or a tiny plastic companion keeping watch over an RTX 5090 is entirely up to the owner.
