Developers Psychic Software and Spiderwinkle Games have released the free demo for the story rich gothic RPG The Necromancer’s Tale. Take on the role of a minor noble in the 18th Century, too curious for the Dark Necromantic Arts for your own good. The great power awaits!.. along with the weird, the morbid, and a gradual descent into madness.
Before you get to the interesting, blood-chilling and bone-crushing parts of the Necromantic magic, first you have to decipher the pages and master the rituals listed on them without losing your mind. Or being strung up by the superstitious townsfolk who don’t appreciate such neighbors.
The events of the game take place in an alternative-history Kingdom near Venice and the Adriatic Sea, in 1733. It is the time of change, between rational thought and superstition; science and magic. The Necromancer’s Tale features turn-based combat that allows you to take advantage of a range of weapons, rituals, and battle spells to defeat your foes.
