A Zenless Zone Zero live action trailer is an introduction to Hollows
The latest bit of hype induced content coming from HoYoverse is a new live action teaser trailer for Zenless Zone Zero, and it’s full of an ominous looking occurrence called Hollows. For anybody following this upcoming action RPG, the appearance of Hollows makes perfect sense. For the rest of the viewing public, this new trailer sets the scene for a new adventure.
Tearing through an otherwise familiar urban environment, the teaser depicts the response of society to dangerous instances of warped reality as they breach daily life, attract curious social media influencers, and the occasional IRL stream. The new promo is something of a step away from the character and combat previews we’ve had of late and sets the scene using a tongue in cheek TV segment. It highlights a core component of Hoyo’s next title, appearing in the middle of daily life and disrupting normal life.
These incursions into human reality are more than simple traffic obstructions. Due to some dangerously levels of Ether activity, normal citizens can get lost in the distortions. Only trained Proxies and skilled Operators can navigate these rifts, fight the Ethereals that await, and recover resources that can help society.
