The Sims 4 Marketplace – Now Available on Consoles

Developer Maxis and publisher Electronic Arts have announced that now, for the first time ever, PlayStation and Xbox players can access community-created content via the in-game The Sims 4 Marketplace.

“With the Marketplace now available on consoles, players can browse, download, and enjoy creations from The Sims community without leaving the game. Whether you’re building your dream home or styling your Sims, Maker Packs give you even more ways to bring your stories to life and make your experience your own.”

Note that Kits will not longer be available on the PlayStation or Microsoft Stores, but you will still be able to purchase Expansion Packs, Game Packs, and Stuff Packs. Instead, Maker Packs and Kits can be purchased directly in-game via the Marketplace, using the special currency, Moola. When you purchase a new Maker Pack or Kit, you won’t need to restart your game in order to download content.

The devs describe Marketplace and Sims the Maker Program is the intentional evolution of a multi-year strategy to support custom content creators. The new system has all been thoughtfully built over the past few years to expand the reach and celebrate these incredible creatives.

To celebrate, players across all platforms can download The Sims 4 Country Kitchen Kit for free through the in-game Marketplace until May 29, 2026.
