The Witcher: House Of Glass Heads To WEBTOON

Monster Hunter Geralt of Rivia is heading to a new format online. WEBTOON has launched a vertical-scroll adaptation of The Witcher: House of Glass, bringing the classic comic storyline to readers in a mobile-friendly webcomic format. The series debuted with its first chapter on the platform, with Episodes 2 and 3 already available as part of the ongoing rollout.

Originally published in 2014 by Dark Horse Comics, House of Glass was the first entry in Dark Horse’s modern Witcher comic line. Written by Paul Tobin with art by Joe Querio, the five-issue miniseries follows Geralt as he encounters a grieving widower whose undead wife haunts a mysterious mansion known as the House of Glass. What begins as a simple monster-hunting job quickly turns into a psychological horror story set inside a labyrinthine house filled with supernatural dangers.

The WEBTOON version reformats the original comic panels into the platform’s signature vertical-scroll style, designed primarily for smartphone reading. This approach has become increasingly common as publishers experiment with ways to introduce established comics to a digital-first audience.

The Witcher’s arrival on WEBTOON is part of a broader partnership between Dark Horse and the platform aimed at bringing major franchises into the vertical-scroll format. Alongside The Witcher, other series adapted for the platform include properties like Cyberpunk 2077 and Critical Role: The Mighty Nein Origins.

The move reflects the growing influence of WEBTOON in the comics space. Originally popularized in South Korea, the vertical-scroll format has become a global standard for digital comics, helping publishers reach readers who primarily consume content on phones rather than traditional print pages.

For Witcher fans, the WEBTOON launch offers another way to explore Geralt’s adventures beyond the novels, games, and TV adaptations. The House of Glass arc remains a fan-favorite entry in the franchise’s comic lineup and served as the starting point for Dark Horse’s ongoing Witcher graphic novel series.

The WEBTOON edition of The Witcher: House of Glass is available to read now, with additional episodes expected to land every Tuesday.
