iBUYPOWER and Counter-Strike veteran and streamer Erik “fl0m” Flom are bringing their iBUYPOWER Masters FML back for another round, and tickets are on sale right now. The event runs September 25 through 27 at the Allied Esports Arena inside the Luxor in Las Vegas, Nevada, with eight teams competing for a $30,000.00 prize pool. This is a Tier 2 VRS-ranked event using America VRS rankings with a regional filter applied for North America and South America. Six of the eight competing teams will come from the North America VRS sub-region, with the remaining two slots going to South America. Team invites go out starting July 6, after the Fourth of July holiday.
The tournament format is a GSL best-of-three group stage, with two groups of four teams seeded by global ranking in a 1, 4, 5, 8 and 2, 3, 6, 7 split. Two teams from each group advance to a single-elimination best-of-three playoff bracket, with a third place decider match rounding out the weekend. The prize breakdown rewards all eight teams, with first place taking home $12,500.00, second at $7,000.00, third at $3,500.00, fourth at $2,500.00, fifth and sixth splitting $1,250.00 each, and seventh and eighth receiving $1,000.00 apiece.
