XD kicked off a Torchlight Infinite SS5 preview over the weekend, and now we know what to expect for the upcoming Clockwork ballet Update on 4 July.
Later this week, mobile and PC players keeping the town of Torchlight safe can expect to face a whole new series of mechanical challenges in the SS5 update. Ahead of the latest update to the newest Torchlight title, publisher XD gave us all a preview of what’s coming, in a weekend livestream. Available to watch over on the official YouTube channel, the preview covered a wealth of major changes and additions from new gear, to challenging enemies, UI designs, character changes, additional heroes, and more.
Anybody looking to wield a little extra firepower from the off can make use of a new hero trait for Divineshot Carino – Zealot of War. XD confirmed that the new hero trait turns Carino into a Gatling Gunslinger in Burning Red, allowing him to switch seamlessly between different combat modes. While Mobility does what it says, the Annihilation mode is equally descriptive. Carino will make quick work of his enemies and can continue to unleash a barrage of firepower even after his ammunition is depleted. You might need that firepower for a new nemesis. Strange Dolls are scattered throughout the new chapter of this aRPG. Dismantling them, and by that we mean defeating them in combat, grants players coupons they can exchange for rewards and the opportunity to increase the challenge rating of their battles from F to SSS. It all sounds a little mundane, but there are other machinations at work. Delving deeper into the new chapter, the look ahead encourages players to grab a Clockwork Ballet Ticket. Brave hunters can transport themselves through the Iron Curtain of Eminence and go head-to-head with new season-exclusive boss and enigmatic leader, Silverwing Dansuse.
The preview also confirmed that the latest gear updates, enhanced UI changes, balance tweaks, and two new two new Pactspirits will join the lineup of additional content too. While there are a ton of big releases coming on 4 July, this new chapter for the Torchlight spin off is worth a look. Eager aRPG fans should take a look at the official website for more or head over and watch the full Torchlight Infinite SS5 Preview. Just, keep an eye on the creepy clockwork dolls.
