Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion Remaster Getting Physical Edition

Limited Run Games, in collaboration with Nightdive Studios and Universal Products & Experiences, has announced that the physical release of the Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion remaster is now available for pre-order for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Completing the Turok trilogy, Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion is a faithful remaster of the original Nintendo 64 release. Nightdive Studios’ proprietary KEX Engine is used to upgrade the original first-person shooter with upgraded gameplay, high-resolution textures, enhanced lighting and rendering, all at up to 4K resolution and 120FPS.

Just like the ancient game itself – Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion is 24 years old after all – Limited Run Games is distributing the remastered version of Turok 3 the old-fashioned way: through physical media! The remaster’s physical edition will come in two varieties. The Standard Edition will contain the game on physical media and a full-color booklet, and is available for preorder for $29.99. The Classic Edition, available for $59.99, will include the same media and booklet as the Standard Edition, along with a reversible poster, CD game soundtrack, and metal retro cartridge replica, all in an embossed, foil retro box.

Already released on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, Turok and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil are also being released in physical form for the Xbox One.  Collectors will also be happy to know that an additional commemorative slipcase will be available for all three platforms that will hold all three games in a single cover.

Pre-orders will be available through July 7 from limitedrungames.com.
