There’s no shortage of Mario-themed accessories these days, but Turtle Beach is leaning into one of the more overlooked characters in the lineup. The company has officially opened pre-orders for its new Rosalina Edition of the Rematch Wireless Controller, bringing a teal-colored, star-powered look to the Nintendo Switch 2 ecosystem.
The controller is now available for pre-order ahead of its planned May 4 release, with pricing at $64.99. Pre-orders are live through Turtle Beach’s storefront and major retailers, continuing the company’s push of stylized, officially licensed accessories for the Nintendo Switch 2.
This Rosalina variant sticks closely to the established Rematch formula, which means you’re getting a wireless controller designed as a more affordable alternative to Nintendo’s first-party Pro Controller. It features Turtle Beach’s TMR (tunneling magnetoresistance) thumbsticks, aimed at improving durability and reducing drift over time, alongside motion controls and programmable back buttons for added flexibility.
Battery life is another highlight here, with the controller rated for up to 40 hours on a single charge with RGB lighting disabled, or around 12 hours with lighting effects active. The inclusion of customizable RGB lighting is a recurring theme across the Rematch lineup, and in this case, it’s used to complement the Rosalina-inspired design rather than overwhelm it.
Like other recent Rematch releases, the controller also includes a dedicated “C” button for GameChat features on Switch 2, along with a wireless range of up to 30 feet. It’s officially licensed by Nintendo, meaning full compatibility across Switch 2, the original Switch, and OLED models is supported out of the box.
This isn’t Turtle Beach’s first run at Mario-themed hardware this year, but the Rosalina Edition stands out simply because it’s not another Mario or Luigi reskin. For players looking to add a bit of variety to their setup, it’s an easy way to break away from the usual red-and-green color palette. Pre-orders are live now, with launch set for early May.
