Turtle Beach Opens Preorders for Mario & Luigi Rematch Wireless Controller

Turtle Beach celebrated Mario Day with a new themed controller designed for Nintendo’s next console. Preorders are now open for the Mario & Luigi Rematch Wireless Controller, a special-edition gamepad built for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. The controller features artwork of Mario and Luigi and is scheduled to release on March 30, 2026.

The controller is officially licensed by Nintendo and is compatible with the Nintendo Switch family of systems, including Switch, Switch Lite, Switch OLED, and Switch 2. The design uses a bright blue shell with red thumbstick caps and character artwork on each grip, giving the controller a distinctly Mario-themed look aimed at fans of the long-running franchise.

Feature-wise, the Rematch Wireless Controller packs several upgrades typically found in higher-end pads. It includes premium TMR (tunneling magnetoresistance) thumbstick sensors for improved durability and precision, integrated motion controls for compatible games, and two programmable back buttons that can be mapped to preferred actions. The controller connects wirelessly with up to a 30-foot range and uses a rechargeable battery that delivers up to 40 hours of gameplay on a single charge with RGB lighting disabled. When the lighting effects are enabled, players can still expect roughly 12 hours of playtime per charge.

Customization is also a focus. The Mario & Luigi edition includes four RGB lighting modes that highlight the controller’s themed artwork and add some extra flair during play sessions.

Turtle Beach has set the MSRP for the controller at $64.99, positioning it below Nintendo’s official Switch 2 Pro Controller while still offering premium features and wireless functionality. Preorders are currently live through Turtle Beach’s website ahead of the late-March launch.

The controller is part of a broader Mario Day accessory push from Turtle Beach that also includes a Mario-themed Airlite Fit wired gaming headset for Switch platforms.

For Switch players looking to add some Mushroom Kingdom style to their setup, the Mario & Luigi Rematch Wireless Controller offers a themed alternative to standard controllers just in time for the next generation of Nintendo hardware.
