Ubisoft’s anticipated Gods & Monsters looks like it has a brand new name now, according to reports from Taiwan.
Based on reports from the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee, Ubisoft has registered a new game in the territory titled Immortals: Fenyx Rising. This brand new entry was spotted over on Gematsu and it looks like the unannounced game might very well be the new name for the upcoming Gods & Monsters game. Rated as a 12 by the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee and available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, this recently registered title seems to fit the content that was revealed back during E3 2019. Only initially glimpsed as a short trailer, the new Ubisoft adventure was also briefly playable on Google’s Stadia platform. An unexpected error allowed gamers to try out an early build of this adventure, revealing a Breath of the Wile inspired aesthetic.
While we don’t know a ton more about the title as yet, we are fully expecting Gods & Monsters, or Immortals: Fenyx Rising if we are right, to feature in the upcoming Ubisoft Forward event due to hit streaming screens later this month. Until then, we will just have to make do with the reveal trailer and plenty of rumour.
