Nord Unithas revealed a horror co-op shooter, Unfrost. The developers presented an announcement trailer, featuring mostly gameplay moments along with the unsettling atmosphere. The game promises to deliver a dynamic gameplay in the Antarctic locations. Players will have to hunt the ancient entities while gathering evidences and trying to survive. So far, the project has received the Steam page, while not revealing the whole list of available platforms.
Key Game Features
- Investigation: Players explore abandoned stations, frozen ruins, and anomaly zones. They have to recover samples, scan anomalies, and analyze evidence to uncover each creature’s vulnerability.
- Squad Coordination: Up to 4 players. Team splits tasks, marks locations, transports equipment, and shares evidence. One player may investigate anomalies while another secures the perimeter or hauls equipment through a blizzard.
- Survival: Freezing temperatures, blizzards, and unforgiving conditions. To survive, players have to manage warmth, supplies, and sanity. Pressure increases the longer the expedition lasts.
- Living Threat: The Riftborne hunts from the beginning. It reacts to actions, reshapes the battlefield, destroys parts of the environment, and forces constant adaptation.
- Nuclear Strike: Once the weakness is understood, the team configures the correct nuclear payload and launches the strike. No second chances.
- Procedural Generation: Randomly generated maps, changing weather, dynamic lighting, randomized objectives, unique clue combinations, and evolving Riftborne behaviors.
- Progression: Receiving new evidence, resources, and experience unlocks new equipment. Even unsuccessful expeditions move the squad forward.
