VA-11 Hall-A: Design Works Pours One Out To Cyberpunk Bartenders Everywhere

VA-11 Hall-A: Design Works

VA-11 Hall-A: Design Works is a beautiful artbook depicting the inspiration behind an indie classic.

If you know cyberpunk bartending as a genre, then you probably know exactly why we’re so excited to hear about the latest project from Lost in Cult. The acclaimed boutique design studio has announced its latest piece, a premium artbook celebrating the far future and unique design of VA-11 Hall-A.

Initially launched in 2016, this visual novel turned bartending experience popped players into a hum drum far future job in a cypberpunk dystopia. You wouldn’t spend days chasing replicants, instead shaking cocktails and chatting to the customers of a drab neon-tinged dive bar. Somehow, between he aesthetic, writing, and unique characters, the game amassed a cult following, and you can all find out how Venezuelan studio Sukeban Games and publisher Ysbryd Games did it.

Set to ship in Q2 2026, this officially licensed release dives deep into the neon-lit world of Glitch City, chronicling the entire creative journey of VA-11 Hall-A through in-depth commentary, stunning concept art, and exclusive developer insights. This celebration of a genre defining piece and the influences that brought it to life will feature more than just the game. Contemporary interviews with writer/programmer Fernando Damas, artist/designer Christopher Ortiz, and composer Michael Kelly will also feature.

Pre-orders for both the Standard and Deluxe Editions of VA-11 Hall-A: Design Works opened on April 10th at 6pm BST at www.lostincult.co.uk/va11halla, and will be available for a limited 60-day window, closing on June 5th at 6pm BST.

While I’m not usually one for shouting about pre-orders. This is a special game and if you love the likes of Coffee Talk or Necrobarista, then you can still grab it across PC and console. Check out the pre-order page and the official website for more details on the game and VA-11 Hall-A: Design Works.
