Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Release Date Confirmed

The first game in the Vampire: The Masquerade series launched over two decades ago. Although it was fairly raw and lacked some planned content, fans of the dark universe warmly welcomed it. Since then, talk of a sequel has always persisted. Finally, the developers confirmed Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was in development, and the long wait for its release began.

At last, Gamescom put an end to the endless anticipation. Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, developed by The Chinese Room, will come from the shadows on October 21, 2025.  The game will be available on PC (Steam, GOG and the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

While the first game was set in the 1920s Santa Monica, the sequel takes place in modern-day Seattle. We play as an elder vampire, awakened from a long torpor, who must uncover the truth behind a voice haunting their mind. Seeing the world through the eyes of the Malkavian trapped in our mind, we must separate reality from illusion and unearth the secrets buried in our past.

The origins of the main characters such as gender and the clan can be chosen, however the backstory is predetermined. Moreover, at the release there will be only four clans available (Brujah, Tremere, Ventrue and Banu Haqim) while Lasombra and Toreador are planned to be added in a DLC.

Pre-orders are now available and will grant you the ‘Bloodlines Nostalgia Jukebox’. This decor item for your Haven will allow you to play iconic themes from the original Bloodlines.
