The developers from Team Vultures and publisher Firesquid have revealed a release date for the turn based strategy Vultures — Scavengers of Death. For this occasion they prepared an announcement trailer, featuring gameplay elements. A mutant outbreak in Salento Valley starts on 28 April 2026. Meanwhile, a demo version of the game is available on Steam.
Vultures — Scavengers of Death takes players back to a 90s horror era. The story follows two operatives, sent to the infected zone for investigation. The players take control of both characters, using their unique abilities to complete the missions. Leopoldo is a strength-based, environment control unit, while Amber relies on agility, grappling and gun. The game features turn based combat mixed with survival elements.
Key Game Features
- Turn-Based Tactical Extraction: Players complete missions with two operatives. Resources are not endless; stealth, disengagement, and tactical prioritization are essential. Extraction is the primary objective.
- Scavenging: Mission locations contain weapons, resources, and environmental obstacles requiring keys, codes, and exploration to progress.
- Survival Horror: Retro PS1 aesthetic with mechanics focused on tense exploration. Each choice carries weight, and isolation contributes to atmosphere.
- Setting: Salento Valley, a quarantined metropolis following a bio-hazard disaster. The Vultures are hired to uncover the infection’s origin.
