Warframe Is Finally Coming to Android in February as Digital Extremes Teases March Update

Digital Extremes kicked off 2026 with its first Devstream of the year, locking in a long-awaited release date for Warframe on Android and teasing a substantial new update arriving in March. The studio confirmed that Warframe will officially launch on Android devices on Wednesday, February 18, marking another major step toward making the free-to-play shooter available on every current-generation platform.

Ahead of the global launch, Canadian players will get early access through a regional soft launch beginning February 11. To encourage new and returning players to jump in, Digital Extremes is offering exclusive login rewards for Android users. Anyone who downloads and logs into Warframe on Android by March 4 will receive the Cumulus Collection, which includes weapon and armor cosmetics alongside resource boosters. As expected, the Android version will support full Cross Play and Cross Save, allowing players to seamlessly continue progress and squad up across platforms.

The Devstream also offered the first real look at Warframe’s next major update, The Shadowgrapher, launching for free on all platforms in March. The update introduces the game’s 64th playable Warframe, Follie, an ominous, ink-inspired frame themed around the idea that creativity can be just as deadly as brute force. Players will return to the ruins of the Vesper Relay and explore a new mission environment hidden within a haunted painting, complete with a new game mode and unsettling narrative threads tied to a lost Archimedean.

Alongside new content, The Shadowgrapher continues Warframe’s visual upgrades. Players can expect expanded face customization options for both Operators and Drifters, as well as the ability to replay The Old Peace quest. More details on the update are expected during the February Devstream.

Digital Extremes also shared new information on Warframe’s future on Nintendo Switch 2. Later in Q1 2026, the game will take advantage of native features like Joy-Con Mouse Mode for menu navigation and aiming, while delivering a guaranteed 60FPS at 1080p in both handheld and docked modes, with improved load times and visual quality.

Cosmetics remain a major focus, with the Vauban Heirloom skin arriving February 11 alongside a light ability retouch, new deluxe skins for Gauss and Grendel coming with The Shadowgrapher, and a Lunar New Year skin for Dagath. Seasonal events like Star Days also return in February, while the 2025 Warframe Year in Review is available now.

Rounding out the announcements were multiple TennoVIP community events planned throughout 2026, including PAX East, the first-ever TennoVIP event in Brazil, and the return of TennoCon in July. For Warframe fans, 2026 is shaping up to be anything but quiet.
