Digital Extremes has announced that it is moving its annual Warframe fan gathering, TennoCon, to August 1st and making the event a digital experience. By moving it to August, developers have said that it gives them the necessary time to make it an awesome event, especially in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition, developers acknowledge that their former “history with dates and ambition”. The letter on the Warframe forum explains that the company has often shown things during the convention that have ultimately never made it into the game. Understanding this, devs have promised that the “TennoCon 2020 presentation to be an unmistakable reveal of what you see is what you get. We don’t want to show a demo and release something months and months later. We want to ship what we show (when it’s ready, of course)!”
