Developer Owlcat Games is back to the grim darkness of the 41st millennium. However, this time the news is not about Rogue Trader, but rather Dark Heresy, another Warhammer 40,000 cRPG currently in development. The team shared the upcoming game’s main theme, describing it as ominous, grim and majestic. Utterly fitting the title.
“Do you wish to hear how a blend of sacred Imperial duty and mysterious rising dread sounds? The harsh ruthlessness of the Warhammer 40,000 universe and the eternal threat to Humanity, embodied in flawless music. We proudly present you Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy Main Theme composed by Paweł Perepelica!”
You may know Pawel Perepelica from his other works, including many of Rogue Trader’s themes such as Janusian Fray, Absolution, Scuffle on the Deck or Voidborn. And, of course, Semper Servientes – Rogue Trader’s main theme. One thing is certain, Dark Heresy’s OST is in great hands.
About Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy
In this new party-based, story-driven cRPG, players will get to become acolytes of the Inquisition. Lead investigations, uncover grand conspiracies, master tactical combat, and wage a secret war against heresy. Make tough choices as a conduit of the God-Emperor’s will.
“As an Inquisitor, you have one primary goal: to protect the Imperium, whether that be from the taint of xenos, the betrayal of heretics, or the scourge of mutants, by any means necessary. Be the conduit of the Emperor’s will in a place where all hope was lost decades ago, explore the mysteries of the maddening Tyrant Star, and overcome the worst horrors thrown at you by the Noctis Aeterna.”
