Developer Owlcat Games is back with first details about the fourth and the last premium DLC for turn-based cRPG Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. Processional of the Damned will be arriving this December.
Like the three previous DLC – Void Shadows, Lex Imperialis and The Infinite Museion – Processional of the Damned will be fully integrated into the main game, adding new quests throughout the campaign.
“Despite our best efforts to deliver the expansion by September as originally intended, it has become clear to us that it won’t be ready in time. That’s why, to ensure we deliver the experience players deserve, we have decided to delay the launch. The release window will be set to December, 2026 and is not expected to move any further.”
Lord Captains will be able to meet and recruit a new companion, the Miraculist Stella, a frail-looking young woman raised by the Ecclesiarchy, with powerful psychic abilities. Although she is an unsanctioned psyker, her order treats her like a miracle created by the God Emperor Himself. She manifests her unstable powers shedding tears of blood and showing cracks in her porcelain skin.
In battle she emanates a devastating wave of psychic flares, dealing area of effect damage to those surrounding her. Although she can learn to control her powers to some degree, veil degradation and the power of the warp mean that she will never truly be free from peril and madness. Whether players forge Stella into a living weapon, make her their friend and ally or decide to dive into the madness with her is up to them.
Additonally, the DLC will include a new Archetype, the melee-focused “Zealot”. Those brave enough to venture into the Processional will also encounter a new feature called Madness that affects all companions, new enemies from the ranks of the Arch Enemy and the Aeladari and much more.
You can find more details regarding the new companion, Stella, and the Zealot Archetype in the blog post.
