Bamtang Games and Trailmark Games have announced an action-adventure game set in the world of the Warrior Cats book series. Coming under title Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest, the game invites players to create their own cat and embark on a journey. In the lands of Lake Territories they can hunt, explore and battle rival Clans. Players can uncover prophecies, and shape their legacy with every choice they make.
The game blends quest-driven progression with turn-based combat. Players should fulfill a variety of tasks to gain favor with their Clan. Battles against both wildlife and rival Clan members allow unlocking new combat moves and the strengthening of their character. The enemy roster includes a range of creatures, from smaller prey like mice and squirrels to more dangerous foes such as badgers.
Exploration plays a central role, with the game featuring multiple iconic territories from the books:
- ThunderClan’s dense forests
- RiverClan’s marshlands
- ShadowClan’s dark pine swamps
- WindClan’s open moors
Beyond combat and exploration, players can forage for resources and craft items within their den. The environment itself offers interactivity, including climbing, pouncing, scent tracking, and environmental puzzles.
