Bamtang Games and Trailmark Games have announced that Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest is headed for a Steam release on October 23rd, 2026. At this point, interested fans can wishlist the game; however, a price point is not yet available.
To celebrate the big news, the development team also released a customization trailer that gives viewers a peek at some of the options when creating their own custom warrior.
The Cat Creator offers thirty-five seconds (sadly) of customization options including: clan selection, cat’s nature, name, and personality traits.
Clans of the Forest Game Features
- Based on the novels by Erin Hunter
- Three game types: Prophecy Mode, Defender Mode, and Skirmish Mode
- Prophecy Mode: Four original stories about the trials and tribulations of Clan life.
- Defender Mode: Test how long you can last while battling all of the game’s fiercest enemies in a single run.
- Skirmish Mode: Battle other players online asynchronously.

- Choose and defend your clan
- Turn-based combat with up to 3v3 and seventy-five unique combat moves that have to be discovered and unlocked
- Create your own custom cat
- Action-adventure game set in the Lake Territories
- A variety of quests to gain favor (i.e. reputation) with your clan
- Battle other clans using turn-based combat to level your cat
- Enemies include: mice, squirrels, badgers, dogs, and more
- Find materials in the world to craft den items
- Travel to iconic book locations (i.e. clan territories, the Moonpool, the Island, etc.)
- Climb trees, pounce through the undergrowth, track scents, and solve puzzles to uncover Starclan’s mysteries
