Kaizen Game Works, the outfit behind the enthralling Paradise Killer, has dropped a demo for the outlandish Promise Mascot Agency. Inviting players to get a taste of the action and browse a massive roster of mascots, the new demo is available now across PC, Xbox and PS5.
Anybody slipping into the shoes of a disgraced Yakuza during the demo will find themselves at the helm of a rather unusual agency. Taking Japan’s passion for corporate mascots and twisting it into an open world creature collection, this tale finds players running a business fuelled by sobbing Tofu, severed pinkies, a not so innocent cat, and more perplexing gig workers. Recruit them to your agency, assign them jobs, and send them out to help the good (and not so good) people of Kaso-Machi! Clean up after kitchen infernos, try to keep them from breaking things, and play Hero cards to avoid the clients giving you a hard time.
The personalities of these headline acts are as entertaining as their appearance. Listen to the tones of Takaya Kuroda (Yakuza: Like a Dragon) as ex-yakuza Michi, Ayano Shibuya (The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom) as chaos goblin Pinky, and introducing Nobuyuki Hiyama (The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask) as Captain Sign!
