Developer Owlcat Games has taken to the official Steam page of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader with urgent news for Lord-Captains. The release of the first premium DLC, Void Shadows, has been postponed from August 8 to September 24. The developers have noted that, while the new additions to the game are awesome, the technical quality is not quite there yet. The extra time will help the team iron out the potential issues.
“That’s why we’ve decided to spend some additional time on polishing and eradicating anything that might spoil your experience as you ingestigate the darkest corners if your voidship or romance a new companion”.
What do we know about Void Shadows?
The developers promise a new story, offering about 15 hours of adventures on board the von Valancius voidship. The DLC is fully integrated into the game’s main story.
In addition to the new romanceable companion, the Death Cult Assassin Kibellah, Rogue Traders are in for new enemies as well. The malignant Genestealer Cult is infecting your crew with their genetic code to convert them, slowly twisting their faith in the Emperor to carry out their wretched designs. Last but not least, Void Shadows offers new locations to explore. There are many distant nooks and crannies where no Lord Captain has gone before.
