The developers of Where Winds Meet have announced the start of the mobile version pre-download. It starts on December 10 at 16:00(UTC) and unlocks access to character creation and a playable demo. Moreover, the team revealed system requirements for mobile devices and answered some of the most frequently asked questions.

The mobile version supports cross-progression and cross-play with PC and console. To sync existing progress, players must link their mobile account before creating a character on a new mobile device; accounts with separate existing character data cannot be linked later. However, the mobile version underwent some specific design changes for the sake of optimization. The wuxia experience is preserved, but it features specific control optimizations and default setting adjustments tailored to the platform.
Key Adjustments:
- Difficulty Settings: New mobile players can initially select only Story or Recommended difficulty. Expert difficulty unlocks at Level 30. The highest Legend difficulty is accessible only by creating a character on PC first.
- Default Controls: “Assist Deflection” is enabled by default for new mobile players. Skill key layouts are currently not customizable; this feature will come in a future update.
- Performance and Content: Ongoing performance optimization has led to some real-time rendered cutscenes being replaced with video playback on mobile to ensure stability, which may result in additional data usage.
