Sixteen-year-old Drew Ferran lives with his human family on The Cold Coast where he was raised, until he discovers his lycanthropy. Terrified of this discovery, he runs off to The Dyrewood to keep away from people. But you can’t hide away from destiny. As the last of the Gray Wolves, he is the rightful heir to the throne and the king of Westland, currently living under the rule of the werelions.
Standing in his way are many enemy Werelords, including the lions of Westland themselves: King Leopold and Prince Lucas who plan on taking his life to secure their position. What follows is an epic story of self-discovery, found families, bravery, friendship, and love.
The events of the animated show follow those of the Wereworld fantasy novel series by Curtis Jobling. If you are a fan of werewolves and other were-creatures, of which there are many, you are in for a treat. The series ended in 2013 and consists of six books:
