Nexon Games and LoreVault have announced a new upcoming project: single-player action-adventure – Woochi the Wayfarer. Set in the Joseon Era, the game promises to bring the vibrant world of Korean folklore to life. The story is based on a classical novel about the taoist wizard Jeon Woochi, who fights injustice and tricks the corrupt.
“Woochi the Wayfarer will provide a fresh and unique play experience that is based on traditional Korean materials while also having an emotional resonance that anyone around the world can relate to. We plan to present a game that will appeal to gamers of all cultures, telling an amazing story that fully showcases Nexon Games’ development capabilities and accumulated experience” – Nexon Games CEO Park Yong-hyun.
So far, not many details are revealed about the upcoming game. However, the Compositor of Squid Game and Parasite is responsible for the authentic Korean music of Woochi the Wayfarer. Moreover, developers visited real locations and consulted many history experts to recreate the most accurate and authentic world, reflecting Koren culture at its finest.
Powered by Unreal Engine 5, the game will certainly create an unforgettable immersive experience. According to the developers, they are aiming to create a game that will appeal to the players of all cultures. They try to create a story resonating with anyone, regardless of their origins.
